Job Title: Design Test Engineer Group/Division: China Innovation Center Location: Su Zhou Division/Business Unit Summary: China Innovation Center (CIC) is dedicated to providing new products meeting customer needs for Thermo Fisher Scientific in China as well as global. We are responsible for the new product development, existing product upgrading, product localization, and innovation application as well the new technology exploration mostly focus on China & APAC market. Collaborating with various division / BUs technology and platform, we are growing our team with developing talents. Analysis instrument and sample preparing instrument has a large and growing market in China. With a goal to develop new products meeting this China market needs, this position is created to close the gap between product test requirement and product performance refinement, helping CIC to successfully provide technical leadership for new products development. Job Description: This Field Test Engineer will be expected to provide on-site installation, test and troubleshooting to online CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring System) and air quality monitoring instruments including Particulate Analysis products. Key Responsibilities: Carry out on-site installation and test for CEMS and Particulate Analysis products for performance verification and validation; Set up and carry out test in R&D lab for CMES and Particulate Analysis products; Cooperate with cross functions to collect and summarize instruments on-site test data to provide input for product issue troubleshooting and performance refinement; Qualifications Required: Good verbal & written communication skills. Minimum of 3 to 5 years work experience with CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring System) area. Experience with CEMS on specific experience in at least one or more of the following industries Power Plant, Raw-steel production, Waste Incineration, Cement Plant or other Industrial Applications Additional experience in applications for measuring gaseous pollutants, Air Quality, metals, trace elements and organics would be desirable. Four years of science/engineering degree required, preferably in chemistry or the equivalent experience Ability to travel. Could be up to 1/2 of time for on-site set-up, problem solving and commissioning of product. Must be a fast learner and self-starter with the ability to learn systems rapidly from a variety of sources. Experience with personal computer applications such as, MS WORD, MS EXCEL & OUTLOOK. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Multi-national company working experience preferred.
