Reports To: Technical Service Manager, China
Location: Shanghai
Summary
Provide field based technical support through demonstrating HTRF products in the customer’s lab, presenting on-site HTRF seminars, performing on-site trouble shooting of HTRF assays. Identify and qualify sales opportunities with sales representatives in biotech and pharmaceutical industry for HTRF reagents and related products. Create and manage marketing initiatives, incorporating current and evolving customer requirements. The primary coverage of territory is Southern China. The selected candidate will receive a full training of 2-3 weeks at Cisbio France before being on the field in China. 20% travel domestically and, upon occasion, internationally; attendance at industry related meetings. This position is based in Shanghai and reports to Technical Service Manager, Great China.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Support
• Provide on-site technical support to customers, helping them implement HTRF technology, migrate assays from therapeutic areas to HTS. Provide technical support and training by phone and e-mail to Chinese customers for all HTRF products
• Provide technical expertise to support business development initiatives, including accompanying Sales Representatives to prospective customer accounts and providing technical presentations and demonstrations of HTRF technology
• Generate and maintain demonstration reports and monthly customer feedback reports to provide record of technical development work on behalf of customers
2. Activity for HTRF Custom Services Lab
• Perform custom labeling and assay development with SC team.
• Accompany Sales Representatives and other Scientific Consultants to prospective customer accounts to discuss Custom Services opportunities and technical information.
• Provide HTRF product, assay development and custom labeling methods training of existing and newly hired HTRF team employees as needed.
• Act as key liaison with Cisbio international Research and Development to support customer use and development of HTRF technologies.
Critical Success Factors
• A science degree in a relevant field, Master of Biological Sciences or Ph.D. desirable
• A minimum of 2-year experience working in a customer technical support on Assay Development/High Throughput Screening within the HTS market, with proven success
• High level of experience in cell culture and aseptic techniques
• In depth knowledge of theoretical and applied HTRF technology
• A solid understanding of the industry and market conditions affecting the territory/product line(s)
• Strong Computer skills, including Usage of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Graph Pad Prism
• High level of initiative and self motivation
• Attitude to learn new systems and retain technical information
